Executive Assistant to CFO Suncorp Bank
Sydney or Brisbane
We are currently seeking an Executive Assistant to provide high level support to the CFO Suncorp Bank based in Sydney or Brisbane on a permanent full-time basis.
The key purpose of the role is to partner with the CFO Suncorp Bank by providing outstanding administrative and time management support to the CFO and providing targeted assistance to the broader CFO Suncorp Bank leadership team. This position has the opportunity to play an intrinsic role in sustaining and evolving the successful culture within the whole CFO team.
What you'll do:
- Provide critical support to the CFO in running their department, including administrative, and other key activities.
- Calendar and email management to ensure the CFO's time is structured according to their priorities.
- Ensure documents, including Committee submissions, SBLT papers and any Executive Leadership Team and Board papers are of a high quality and distributed in accordance with procedure and deadlines.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to support the CFO, including ensuring effective communication and managing competing expectations.
- Coordinate Suncorp Bank CFO leadership team meeting cadence, agendas, minutes and following up action items.
- Adhere to schedules and deadlines required for achievement of department and Suncorp Bank objectives.
- Support compliance with relevant legislation and Group policies and procedures.
- Coordination of team events and functions, and assist the CFO to improve engagement through recognition activities;
- Prudent, effective and timely management of monthly AMEX statements, purchase orders and invoice processing and department cost centre monitoring;
- Management of the CFO department people data, compliance and reporting, and real estate accommodation requirements.
- Book travel arrangements for the CFO and provide related support for LT members where required.
- Drive continuous improvement opportunities for the seamless running of the Suncorp Bank CFO office.
- Actively participate and contribute to the Suncorp Bank EA community and forum.
What you'll bring:
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous EA/MA experience supporting a senior executive within a corporate environment.
- Banking industry experience and knowledge beneficial.
- Advanced skills in core Microsoft products: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook (mandatory)
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skill
- Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Possess a high attention to detail, good judgement and high levels of confidentiality.
- Exceptional time management/organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage/prioritise workflow with minimal supervision.
- Uses initiative and suggests and implements continuous improvement opportunities for the division.
- Able to adapt to changes in systems and processes readily; and
- Ability to seek out information and break down problems and situations, providing options and alternatives, and follow through.
