As a continually growing psychology centre based in Gungahlin (Canberra, ACT), we are now hiring for an Executive Assistant position ASAP!
Our Services:
- Therapy / counselling by a Psychologist (delivered face-to-face)
- Tele-therapy / counselling by a Psychologist (delivered via video call)
- Psychological assessments by a Psychologist (delivered face-to-face)
- Group LEGO®-Based Therapy with our Certified Facilitators of LEGO®-Based Therapy (delivered face-to-face)
Our administrative team covers a wide range of tasks and responsibilities, and all our employees work collaboratively to utilise each individuals personal strengths within their role.
The admin team is essential in helping to deliver each of these services efficiently to our clients at Autism Canberra Psychology Centre.

Examples of Position Duties:
- Company calendar management
- Networking with professional contacts and representing the company appropriately
- Following up any employee timesheet discrepancies / errors
- Assisting the Practice Manager in drafting and implementing amendments for existing or new company policies, protocols and procedures
- Assisting the Practice Manager with employee onboarding and training processes
- Promotion of our services via email, fax, post, online, and in person networking
- Covering reception duties when required because of receptionist absences or increased admin workloads
- Corresponding with the Practice Manager, Grace Flowers, as required
- Corresponding with the Director, Jenny Lewis, as required
- Performing other tasks as advised by the Practice Manager and Director
Highly Desirable Criteria:
- Previous Executive Assistant experience (particularly in psychology / healthcare)
- Flexible and adaptable approach to balancing both urgent tasks and regular duties
- Friendly demeanour and an empathetic approach to assisting our clients, the Practice Manager, the Director, and all other team members
- Ability to communicate effectively with our clients, the Practice Manager, the Director, and all other team members (verbally and in written form)
- Keen to engage in ongoing training as we continue to grow and improve our teams and our services
- Current A.C.T. Working With Vulnerable Peoples Card (WWVP Card) *REQUIRED PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT*
Position Details:
- Employment type: part-time / full-time employment contract
- Practice open hours: Weekdays between 8:00am - 5:30pm
- Expected work hours: 30-38 hours / week (weekdays only)
- Start date: ASAP is preferred
- Renumeration: TBC in the interview stage (dependent on skills and experience)
- Training and onboarding: support is flexible to suit each employee (accommodations for; preferred learning methods or styles, previous role experience / relevant knowledge, scheduling check-ins with the Practice Manager, regular admin team meetings, comprehensive WHS training, option to extend supervision / training period, & other reasonable adjustments at the employees request)
