An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Practice Manager to join our established clinic in Garran on a permanent and full-time basis. We are seeking an applicant who is available for an immediate start and we are offering a very generous remuneration with a range of $80,000 to $85,000. We are a very busy private practice whose specialists work in the areas of oncology, haematology, neurology and endocrinology.
As the Assistant Practice Manager the pivotal aspects of your role are:
- Supporting the Practice Manager in all areas of clinic administration;
- Review and implement practice systems to ensure the smooth and efficient function of the practice;
- All aspects of reception including answering the phone, meeting and greeting patients, issuing invoices and taking payments;
- Maintain patient records;
- Provide thorough, reliable support to our clinical team and engage with other business stakeholders;
- Reliably committed to core working hours and contributing to a positive working environment.
You are expected to demonstrate the following attributes:
- Minimum 4+ years general administration/reception experience;
- Dynamic, adaptable with the capability to problem solve under pressure;
- Strong people skills with an emphasis on being compassionate, empathetic and warm;
- Customer service focused;
- Experience in managing patient accounts and working with private health funds;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
- Proficient in Microsoft office products and health industry software (ideally experienced in Genie or similar).
