About the roleThis role will provide broad range of high-level administrative services to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and their team, to enable focus on achievement of the unit's program of work and efficient delivery of business operations.
You will plan, organise daily activity and provide general support to maximise the time available for your manager to focus on core business functions. This could include calendar/time management; identification and scheduling of priority tasks and meetings; tracking deadlines; monitoring progress with plans; management of telephone inquiries/email/postal correspondence; escalation of priority matters to the manager; making travel, meeting, event, and other arrangements; and handling of routine matters on the manager's behalf, including direction to other officers for action.
Secretarial support for committees and meetings including meeting preparation, document circulation and taking and transcribing minutes are part of the role, and you will contribute to the development of complex documents, including briefs, reports, procedures, responses, and presentations. You will also ensure document storage complies to policy and all documents are able to be efficiently retrieved.
To maximise team effectiveness, you will assist with monitoring and ordering supplies, tracking budget expenditure, logging maintenance requests, data entry, supporting recruitment and orientation processes and rostering/payroll.
