Are you an organised and proactive individual looking for a fulfilling career opportunity? Curtin University's Faculty of Health Sciences is seeking a dedicated Executive Assistant to provide crucial support to the Senior Pro Vice-Chancellor (PVC). This full-time permanent position offers a chance to play a vital role in ensuring seamless operations and providing confidential assistance.
  
As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to manage the PVC's commitments efficiently and keep the manager informed about important information. Your administrative support, including preparing reports and presentations, will be instrumental in driving the success of the Faculty. Additionally, you will have the chance to assist with special projects and research, represent the area in meetings and committees, and coordinate visitor reception. Furthermore, your role will involve arranging travel arrangements for the PVC, handling confidential information with integrity, and upholding professional and personal conduct in line with the University’s values.

Selection Criteria
  1. A degree with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of extensive relevant work experience and education/training.
  2. Proven ability to coordinate and manage a complex array of commitments, maximising time management to achieve optimal output, using an electronic diary system.
  3. Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple and often competing tasks with attention to accuracy and detail within deadlines.
  4. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity across all functions.
  5. Demonstrated effectiveness in both oral and written communication with a well-developed cross cultural sensitivity and diplomacy; with a proven ability to research and summarise information.
  6. Demonstrated experience in recognising and dealing sensitively and constructively with situations using appropriate negotiation skills and influencing styles to achieve positive outcomes.

Faculty of Health Sciences 
 
The faculty has a long tradition of discipline-based course delivery in the health professions. Courses in the faculty provide a hands-on approach to learning so our graduates can make a significant difference to people’s lives.
