Our current Executive Chef has been part of the Wenty Family for over 10 years and is now ready to give another talented Executive Chef the reigns at managing our multimillion-dollar Food portfolio. Reporting to the Commercial Manager – Food & Beverage and being part of our Senior Management Team, we are seeking someone who has a management style that is down to earth and professional, who is a leader but is not an authoritarian, who is creative and structured, who is calm under pressure and extremely passionate and most importantly is hands on and leads from the front.

Being supported by a designated team which includes an Executive Sous Chef and a team of Sous Chefs, this position requires someone who will bring not only the skills any Executive Chef can bring, but understands that in managing multiple food outlets which includes a 250 seat café, a 200 seat a' la carte restaurant, 700 seat casual dining precinct as well as a Functions and Events space, their team is what will make the department successful.

The main responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to…

An understanding of HACCP, all food safety and hygiene practice compliance obligations
Working with your team to create flavoursome menus that sets Wenty Leagues apart from the rest, while ensuring our crowd favourites are delivered consistently and with love.
Being aware and on top of current food trends
Management of budgets for areas under your control and being on top of the P&L
Development of your weekly roster, ensuring optimal labour is maintained.
Lead and motivate your Chef team so they feel valued and heard.
Ensure the Club’s policies and procedures are met and followed by our Kitchen Team
Ensure your Chefs have all the tools they need to cook and serve quality and consistent food
Maintain a positive relationship with our suppliers.

About You

Our successful candidate will have:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Executive Chef in a similar environment who can be operational and strategic and fully qualified.
An eye for detail and be service orientated.
Know the importance of not only a spotless kitchen but ensure it is always maintained to the highest standard and meet food safety hygiene practices and compliance expectations
Considerable knowledge of nutrition and menu planning focusing on food costs and customers
Ability to build relationships and rapport with both internal and external stakeholders
Proven leadership qualities and the ability to coach, train and motivate your team
Strong communication an interpersonal skill and a passion for quality customer service
