The Department of Health have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Director to provide strategic leadership, direction, and governance for Allied Health Services across Hospitals North West including acute, sub-acute and primary Health Services.The role:We are looking for an applicant who is Compassionate, Accountable, Respectful, and strives for Excellence (CARE) to join our progressive and dynamic team, provide strong & supportive leadership for Allied Health services, and work with a wide range of internal & external stakeholders across multiple sites.The successful Executive Director will provide strategic leadership, direction, and governance for Allied Health Services across Hospitals North-West, including acute, sub-acute and primary Health Services. This includes:
- Leadership responsibility and accountability for Allied Health Services across Hospitals North-West including health service delivery, clinical governance, education and training and research activities.
- Ensuring that key deliverables are achieved including those related to operational performance, clinical governance, and human, financial and physical resources.
- Providing advice and recommendations to the Chief Executive, Hospitals North-West to remediate complex and significant operational issues.
- Collaborating with other areas of the Department of Health (DoH) and the Tasmanian health system to deliver integrated services and improvements to health care delivery in accordance with Tasmanian Government policy and agreed strategy, including ensuring that the Tasmanian heath system operates as a single cohesive statewide service.
- Complex and significant issues include but are not limited to health service delivery, clinical governance, workforce, education and training, research and/or professional practice issues.
