Job description
The Executive Director, Courts Operations is a senior executive position in the County Court of Victoria. It leads the Court’s Registry and Judicial Support Services (a team that includes over 150 associates and tipstaves) to support our judicial officers in dispensing fair, timely, efficient and accessible justice.
The County Court of Victoria operates in an interesting and fast-paced environment, where process and outcomes are important, sustainability and change must be balanced, and our people’s health, wellbeing and organisational value are paramount.
We pride ourselves on having a culture that genuinely welcomes innovation and we derive satisfaction from improving people’s interactions with the court and broader justice system.
Both Registry and Judicial Support Services have undergone significant reform over the past 3 years and the legal and operational environments continue to evolve in a more constrained budgetary environment after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Priorities for this role will include continuing to embed and stabilise changes, while monitoring, evaluating and strengthening what we do for the benefit of court users, judicial officers and staff.
The role works closely with the CEO and is part of a positive, experienced and inclusive executive leadership team, which leads across the organisation and shares the accountability for achieving our strategic objectives.
