The role
Reporting to the Health Service Chief Executive (HSCE) the Executive Director will drive strategy development, deployment and evaluation working across all clinical and corporate portfolios to develop enabling strategies and integrated plans to support delivery of the hospital's strategic plan 2022-2026.
Additionally, you will lead and direct a broad range of functions across the Governance, Strategy and Performance portfolio. You will be a key member of the executive leadership team and will be responsible for provision of leadership, strategic focus, authoritative and expert advice across a wide range of professional issues across key stakeholders including the Health Service Chief Executive, and South West Hospital and Health Service (SWHHS) Board.
The successful person
You will have:
- Extensive experience in leading the successful development and implementation of an organisation's strategy, planning and performance capability, governance and outcomes.
- Exceptional leadership and management capabilities with demonstrated high achievement at an executive level
- Extensive experience in strategic and business planning
- The ability to manage large and complex projects
- The ability to work within a cultural capability framework
- Demonstrated experience in successfully designing and implementing a contemporary organisational governance system
Expertise in the health sector, with a thorough understanding of the complexity and uniqueness of rural and remote health service delivery, would be highly regarded.
