THE ROLE
The Executive Director is responsible for leading social and affordable housing strategy, policy development and reform for Homes Victoria. This includes supporting cross-government policy development and governance, intergovernmental relations, implementing portfolio strategy and Planning, managing the Affordable Housing Rental Scheme program and leading strategies, policies and initiatives to grow social housing, for example through the Big Housing Build and other capital and capital grant programs.
The Executive Director will work across the public sector (and with other jurisdictions), with sector partners, stakeholders and by listening to the voice of people with lived experience, to lead policy advice on social housing future directions.
The position has three Director roles (executive roles) that directly report to it. The Executive Director leads a branch of approximately 70 people. The role is responsible for enabling staff in the branch to deliver their best work in line with Victorian public sector values.

- Lead social and affordable housing Policy and strategy functions.
- Lead the relationship and development of Victoria's inter-governmental negotiation agenda for housing and support intergovernmental negotiations.
