Our client is a dynamic and innovative industry leader committed to excellence and Sustainability. With a strong focus on delivering high-quality industrial services, they are dedicated to maintaining a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. As part of their strategy, they are seeking a highly experienced Executive General Manager to spearhead their Safety and Sustainability function as the business enters a pivotal stage in its growth journey.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Executive General Manager – Safety and Sustainability will be a critical member of the executive leadership team. The Executive General Manager – Safety and Sustainability will have a pivotal role in shaping the function and executing the company's commitment to fostering a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and quality excellence. You will also be responsible for overseeing and implementing policies, procedures, and programs that ensure the highest standards of health, safety, environment, quality, and wellbeing across all aspects of their operations. A key part of this role will also be the focus on establishing the sustainability strategy for the business. This will include leading and mentoring a geographically dispersed team to provide guidance and support across the organisation to drive a positive people and customer experience.
As Executive General Manager – Safety and Sustainability, you will have a track record of success developing and implementing strategies that elevate the function and the operations. You will have significant experience establishing key performance indicators and providing strong reporting to senior leadership. You will have exposure to driving the strategy and implementation of the company’s sustainability agenda and roadmap that focus on delivering outcomes in alignment with service delivery and net zero. Given the nature of the business, exposure to working with a geographically dispersed workforce within an industrial environment would be ideal.
