Job description
IHACPA is seeking to recruit to the role of Director, Aged Care Policy (Accommodation). The position will lead a team of highly experienced assessors and policy experts to support the delivery of functions set out under the Aged Care Act and related Principles.
The key duties of the position include
This position supports the Executive Director (ED), Aged Care Policy and Communications and is responsible for:
• leading and managing the Accommodation team
• supporting the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and ED, Aged Care Policy and Communications with regards to accommodation and assessment matters as they arise, including the delivery of the IHACPA Work Program
• establishing and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• overseeing the public submissions process for consultations relating to the accommodation function
• developing ministerial, Pricing Authority, committee and other papers and correspondence within timeframes determined by the CEO and ED
• developing and reviewing policies, procedures, and frameworks, as required, to support IHACPA in effectively undertaking its role in the assessment of applications by Aged Care providers
• developing and delivering the education strategy and implementation to support stakeholders in submitting compliant applications for assessment
• managing the development and implementation of reporting to the Pricing Authority and Executive related to the accommodation function
• managing formal agreements between agencies to support the accommodation function
• developing and implementing IHACPA policies relating to the assessment of applications by Aged Care providers.
