We are seeking a new Executive Manager to lead the MH&AOD portfolio following the departure of our current Executive Manager who has accepted a prominent leadership position outside our organisation and therefore this rare and unique opportunity within our organisation has now become available.

This role is critical as we continue to adapt to the rapidly changing Primary Health Care environment, ensuring our services empower clients to live their best lives.

Learn about the position:
The Executive Manager, Mental Health & AOD will report to the CEO and is a key leader who embodies Sonder’s Purpose, Vision, and Values, fostering a high-performance culture where staff are motivated and committed. This role is crucial in navigating the evolving Primary Health Care landscape, driving the delivery of Mental Health and AOD programs across both metropolitan and rural South Australia.
With a focus on operational efficiency and agility, the Executive Manager ensures that services empower clients to live their best lives, while strategically positioning the organisation for future growth. Leveraging extensive knowledge and experience, the Executive Manager provides strategic and operational leadership, governance and direction to innovate and enhance service delivery models, including leading the delivery of the Northern Medicare MH Centre (Head to Health).
Experience Requirements:
- Sound clinical MH background and demonstrated expertise in delivering community MH services in conjunction with state and federally funded entities.
- Demonstrated capacity to deliver integrated MH services that are informed by lived experience and which are focused on enhancing the consumer journey.
- Detailed knowledge and practical application of relevant industrial legislation and awards relevant to the primary health care and community services sectors
- Strong transformational change experience in the areas of workplace culture, workforce development and data-led innovation
- Substantial experience in providing high level strategic and operational leadership
- An ability to work collaboratively with the Executive Management Team
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong commercial business acumen with a business development mindset
Qualification Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant Mental Health discipline – preferably postgraduate with a minimum 5 years operational and strategic experience in delivering focused psychological therapies
- Leadership & Management experience underpinned by relevant qualifications
- Expertise in leading high-functioning MH and/ or AOD teams
