With over 25 venues in hospitality and gaming, they are looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial leader to double the business over the next two years through strategic acquisitions nationally.
Reporting through to the CEO, this is a newly created Procurement Manager role that will be responsible for establishing a procurement framework for the organisation across all categories including food, beverage, utilities, facilities management, chemicals and more. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders in integrating this procurement framework / policies within the business. Additionally the Procurement Manager will be responsible for ensuring the business is set up from a procurement perspective to meet the growth aspirations of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake a review of existing contracts, suppliers and procurement policies to establish and implement a more robust and sustainable procurement framework for the business
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand pain points, and embed the newly established procurement process across the business
- Strategic sourcing across key categories for the business ensuring cost savings, cost avoidance and security of supply
- Develop strong relationships with local and new suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and alternate sources of supply are identified
- Undertaking market analysis across key categories
- Monitor industry trends and market developments to drive innovation and maintain competitiveness.
- Ensure procurement strategy is aligned with wider business strategy and initiatives
- Identify and proactively manage any procurement risk to the business including developing risk mitigation plans
Essential Skills:
- 10+ years of procurement experience gained from FMCG, hospitality or food service organisations
- Strong stakeholder management experience including experience working closely and influencing ELT level stakeholders
- Essential to the role is proven food strategic sourcing experience
- Ideally experience with both direct and indirect categories
- Excellent analysis skillset
- Ensure procurement strategy is aligned with wider business strategy and initiatives
- Experience negotiating high value ($50m++) strategic contracts
- Education: tertiary qualified, and/or MBA.
