The Position:
In working as a high-performing and efficient Executive Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Effective diary management for the Deputy Director-General ensuring a flexible approach and responding to priorities
- Preparing for key meetings and ensuring the Deputy Director-General is properly briefed and supported
- Remain abreast of critical issues within the Department that may have an impact
- Compiling, editing and reviewing documents and reporting
- Coordinate briefings, correspondence and submissions to high-level government stakeholders
- Records management
To truly thrive in this incredible opportunity, you will need strong competencies in the following areas:
- Experience in Executive Assistant support roles where you have coordinated busy diaries, prepared for meetings amongst senior stakeholders and experienced editing, reviewing and preparing reports and submittals
- You should enjoy working in high-pressure environments where you can work efficiently, with focus and know how to prioritise
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Prior government understanding will be a massive advantage
