The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join Southern Cross Care as the Executive Officer to the Executive Team. 

This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive support to our Executive Leadership, ensuring seamless operations, and facilitating effective communication and coordination within the Executive Team and across the organisation.

Executive Officer to the Executive Team

The Executive Officer to the Executive Team (EO) is responsible for the smooth running of the office of the CEO, and providing high level governance and administrative support to the Southern Cross Care (SCC) Board of Directors.  

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Provide comprehensive support to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) including managing schedules, coordinating meetings and handling correspondence. 
  • Screen and prioritise communications and requests for the CEO and ELT
  • Prepare briefing materials, presentations and reports as required
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders including Board Members
  • Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentially and discretion.
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of strategic plans ensuring alignment with SCC’s organisational goals
  • Facilitate effective communication flow within the ELT across departments
  • Manage projects and initiatives on behalf of the CEO and ELT, ensuring timely execution and delivery

Compliance requirements:

  • Effective time management skills and the ability to work independently to plan and organise work to ensure completion of work to required standards and within prescribed time frame.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Satisfactory national police check (within the previous three months)
  • Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration, with NDIS endorsement
  • If you are on a visa, a copy of your current IMMI Letter
