The opportunity is now available for an Executive Officer/Director of Nursing and Midwifery to provide outstanding strategic and operational leadership, governance and direction for the Nursing and Midwifery services within the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network, encompassing Ceduna District Health Services, a 15 inpatient bed facility, providing services including emergency, surgical, general medicine, birthing, renal dialysis, diagnostic radiology and outpatients.
Ceduna District Health Services also provides residential aged care services within the hospital, at the Kuhlmann Wing and Ceduna Senior Citizens Village. There is also a GP family practice, Community Health services, Allied Health services, and Child, Adolescent and Adult Mental Health services offered on the hospital site.
The focus of this role is on developing and implementing frameworks and systems within which nursing/midwifery employees practice, and on monitoring and evaluating clinical practice and service delivery standards.
Eligibility
Working at this level, applicants are expected to be expert managers, practicing at an advanced level, and have an extended scope of practice with a high degree of autonomous decision making.
Applicants must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate with five years post registration experience as a Nurse/Midwife. You will be expected to have extensive, recent, senior management experience in finance, personnel and strategic planning and leadership.
