Overview
A fantastic leadership opportunity is available for an Executive Officer/Director of Nursing to provide strategic and operational leadership, governance and direction for the nursing/midwifery services within Jamestown Hospital and Health Service.
The focus of this role is on the development and implementation of frameworks and systems within which nursing/midwifery staff practice, and on monitoring and evaluating clinical practice and service delivery standards. The Executive Officer/Director of Nursing will be an expert manager, practicing at an advanced level, and have an extended scope of practice with a high degree of autonomous decision making.
Reporting to the Executive Director Nursing and Midwifery, YNLHN and working closely with the executive and senior clinical and management personnel, you will be a dynamic, practical, strategic and highly effective leader who can demonstrate an outstanding level of efficiency, effectiveness, influence and collaboration in order for your team to achieve strategic and operational goals.
Eligibility
It is a requirement for the appointee to be registered, or eligible for registration, as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practising certificate with 5 years post registration experience as a Nurse/Midwife. Previous senior management experience in finance, implementing new systems and introducing significant change essential.
