The Australia Day Council of SA Inc (ADCSA) is an independent, non-profit, membership-based association and a part of the Australia Day National network, responsible for the prestigious Australians of the Year Awards. The Chief Executive Officer is looking for someone to provide support to her in this position for approximately 15 hours a week. This would be worked over 3 days, which can be negotiated.
The position is a 2 year contract position, subject to ongoing funding.
Salary is by negotiation, depending on experience.
Primary Purpose of this Position (Key Accountabilities):
- Provide support to the Chief Executive Officer and Board members.
- Schedule and plan meetings and appointments for the CEO.
- Prepare and distribute agenda and minutes for meetings.
- Attend Board Meetings and Committee meetings as required.
- Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information.
- Sort and distribute communications in a timely manner.
- High level of confidentiality required.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential Attributes (Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Requirements):
- Experience in a previous type role.
- Experience in taking minutes of meetings and preparation of agendas.
- High level of administrative and clerical skills.
- Thorough understanding of office management procedures.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to use initiative and judgement.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team member to achieve agreed goals.
- Ability to produce high quality work while adhering to tight deadlines.
- Ability to prioritise and co-ordinate workloads.
- Ability to communicate concisely, clearly, effectively and accurately with a diverse range of people (written and oral).
Desirable
- Certificate in Business Administration or similar.
- Executive support experience.
- Experience in human resources and/or governance.
