The Role:
The Exercise Physiologist is a key member of the Health, Fitness and Recreation team This position is responsible for developing and delivering individualised exercise programs to meet the Health and fitness needs of the YMCA Chifley Health and Wellness Centre clientele. With a focus on clients with medical conditions and rehabilitation programs, delivery will occur through one on one appointments, targeted group fitness classes or informal support while supervising the gym floor. The position exists to maximise the health, fitness and social outcomes for all participants. The Chifley Health and Wellness Centre is community focused and inclusive of diverse populations, including older adults and people with disability.
Contract Length:
6 months
Hours Required:
• Full or Part-time, Monday to Friday.
Skills, knowledge and experience required:
To be successful in this role, the Exercise Physiologist will be a community minded individual with a client orientated focus. The incumbent will have:
• Experience working as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with a diverse range of clients, including people with disability and older adults (Desirable)
• Have experience in community engagement and customer service (Desirable)
• Demonstrate capability and skills in fitness program design, delivery and evaluation (Desirable)
• Demonstrate a passion for achieving positive health, fitness and social outcomes through exercise program delivery; and
• Have the ability to work as part of a dynamic team.

• Working with Vulnerable People Registration
• Current First Aid/CPR Certificates
• Current Driver’s License
• Experience working with disabilities and older adults
