We are currently seeking an experienced full time Exercise Physiologist to join our team based in Western Melbourne (you will need to be flexible to travel to other parts across Melbourne as required).
You will need to be motivated, inspiring and an accessible individual who can pursue outcomes for clients and contribute to the overall performance of the office where you will be based. You will be flexible and adaptable and be able to manage shifting work priorities.
Your role will include:
- To undertake professional assessments of injured candidates recognising all health issues
- To develop return to work plans consistent with a candidate's barriers
- Provide reports in an efficient manner consistent with contractual requirements
- To provide clinical support/intervention for candidates with a range of health issues.
- Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with a range of treating multidisciplinary specialists, community groups, employers, customers and government agencies
- To conduct functional capacity evaluations where appropriate
- To conduct work site assessments and suitable duties plans
- Tertiary qualifications in Exercise Physiology
- Full or provisional registration with ESSA (Exercise and Sports Science Australia)
- Experience in occupational rehabilitation desirable
- The ability to work in a team environment and autonomously
- An ability to communicate with a wide cross-section of the community
- Initiative, problem solving skills and energy
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation and report writing skills
- A current Australian driver's licence
