HammondCare is currently looking for an experienced Exercise Physiologist to engage Aged Care Residents at our Woy Woy and Erina sites on a Permanent, Part-Time Basis (3 days per week). About the role - Exercise Physiologist HammondCare is forming an exciting new internal Allied Health Care Team to work in Residential Care. Whilst having the autonomy to collaborate with residents to achieve the best care outcomes, you will also be part of a broader team of in-house Allied Health professionals working alongside and supporting frontline teams. Together you will deliver resident-centred, evidence-based care in an environment that promotes continuous quality improvement consistent with the values and ethics of HammondCare and Exercise & Sports Science Australia. Essence of the role:Provision of timely, effective, and high-quality Exercise Physiologist services to residents and the appropriate support and advice to their representatives and the HammondCare team to meet individual needs and preferences.Participate and contribute to assessing residents physical wellbeing, and tailor creative exercise-based interventions to restore optimal physical function, health, and wellness, with the focus on enabling choice and the best outcomes for the resident.Collaborate closely with residents, their representatives, staff, and the broader Allied Health Team to assess functional care needs, set care goals, and provide treatment and interventions to deliver the best possible outcomes for residents.Participate as a member of the HammondCare team in the application of the Mission and values to the pursuit of its objectives in a person-centred, continuous quality improvement work environment.Participate in quality improvement projects and continuing professional development.About you:Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare Christian-based Values, Motivation and Mission in Action.A tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology and accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist with ESSA.Practical experience or sound knowledge in Aged Care - Highly Desirable.A current drivers license, safe driving record and access to your own car, with a willingness to travel between HammondCares sites.Effective communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)Demonstrated organisation and time management skills.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a MDT.Benefits: We care about your wellbeing at HammondCare and as a result offer a wide range of health and lifestyle benefits including:Fitness Passports - Full facility access can include gyms, group classes and pools for yourself and your family.Novated Leasing and salary packing up to $15,900 on General Expenses + $2,650 on Meals and Entertainment.Discounts across a range of household names such as JB HI- FIOption to purchase up to 2 weeks additional annual leave.14 weeks Paid Parental LeaveLearning and development opportunities and scholarshipsAbout HammondCare HammondCare is an independent Christian charity that has been serving families in Australia since 1932.
