About Us:

Hello Harry - The Burger Joint is a rapidly growing gourmet burger joint known for its delicious burgers, friendly atmosphere, and commitment to excellence. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced cook, preferably with cookery qualifications (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery), to join our team at Hello Harry’s flagship store on the beach in Caloundra.

Position Overview:

Hello Harry Caloundra is on the hunt for a skilled and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for whipping up gourmet handcrafted burgers that meet our guests' standards, all while strictly following food safety and sanitation rules. We're after someone with a solid culinary background, a hawk-eye for detail, and the grit to handle the fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook dishes in accordance with recipes and guest orders.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper food handling, cooking temperatures, and storage.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to established standards.
• Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
• Organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
• Work closely with servers and other restaurant staff to ensure that all guests receive high-quality food and service.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by the Manager or Owner.

Qualifications:

• Preferred, but not essential, qualifications in Cookery (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery).
• Demonstrated expertise acquired from previous roles in a fast-casual dining establishment.
• Positive attitude and an ability to excel within a collaborative team setting.
• Outstanding customer service and communication competencies.
• Aptitude to perform effectively in a high-paced environment, even under demanding circumstances.
• Proficiency in computerized order processing.
• Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations.
