HabitatHQ is a thriving co-working office space in Helensvale. We operate a small cafe for our business clients and we're looking for an experienced Barista and Cafe All-rounder to join our team.
Key accountabilities
- Managing the full operation of a Cafe, including opening and prepping for the day
- Managing stock and ordering
- Management and understanding all Tenants needs within the co-working space, you'll be the go-to person for internal queries
- Updating customer database and general administrative duties
- Preparing the highest standard and quality of coffee & food offerings
- Providing prompt, efficient and friendly service to all customers
- Ensuring the overall appearance of the Cafe is clean, organised and visually presentable at all times
- Being hands-on preparing meals and ensuring the highest standard of food prep
- Co-ordinating catering requirements for internal and external guests
- Displaying excellence in food hygiene and health and safety
- Operating point of sale and online ordering app as well as internal software systems
- Ensuring implementation and alignment to all Cafe & HabitatHQ policies and procedures
- Basic admin requirements
Required skills
- Outgoing personality and can-do attitude
- Previous Café Barista experience essential
- Proven customer service ability
- Previous food handling and preparation experience
- Immaculate personal presentation and personal hygiene
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and willingness to work independently as well as within a team
- Confident interpersonal skills, social awareness and the ability to build relationships with staff & customers
- Exceptional communication skills
- High competency with computer skills, data entry
Hours
- Monday to Friday: 7:30am - 4:00pm (with some flexibility)
