J & E Asphalt & Civil Pty Ltd is a family owned and operated multi-disciplined road works contractor that services NSW. Founded in 1978, the business slowly grew from grading kerbs for new subdivisions, to paving sports courts, car parks and roads. We conduct Minor and Major Road Pavement Works/ Rehabilitation and Road Preservation works throughout local and some regional areas of NSW.
About the role:
We are currently seeking reliable, adaptable and responsible experienced Bobcat/skid Steer Operators with a valid LS ticket and Manual Transmission HR licence. In this role you will be responsible for working with asphalt (hot mix) on job sites through-out the Sydney Metropolitan areas.
You will have experience in any of the roles outlined below within the Asphalt Industry:
- HR Heavy Vehicle Driving (Manual Transmission Licence and experience)
- Bobcat/Skid Steer LS Licence Operator with experience using attachments (sweeper, bucket)
- Load and Unload Experience
- HVNL CoR knowledge
- General labourer (rake/shovel etc)
To be considered for this role you must possess the following:
- A valid NSW HR Drivers licence
- A construction induction OH&S white card
- Valid ticket/s for the operation of bobcat/ skid steer LS
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and work to deadlines including night shift, overtime, occasional weekend work and regional work when required.
- Commitment to workplace safety
- Respect of others and to work as part of an efficient team.
- Ability to undertake a Fit for Work Assessment and a Drug & Alcohol screen.
These roles are ideal for those not afraid of a hard day's work, long hours and getting their hands dirty. You will need to be reliable, have a good eye for detail and willing to work as an important part of a crew.
