About the Role
We are looking for a creative Experienced Chef to join our team. While supporting our kitchen team, you will be accountable for day-to-day kitchen operations while ensuring the provision of safe, high quality catering experiences for The Landings residents in our dining room, café, bar, and event spaces.
Position requirements may include
- The efficient and timely preparation of meals
- Ensuring hygiene and cleanliness of kitchen
- Adherence to HACCP and LDK policies
- Compliance to accreditation standards
- Restaurant, special events, bar and café services - overseeing food elements
- Daily monitoring of food safety and general OH&S
- Total stock management including ordering, stock rotation, stock taking
- Managing maintenance of kitchen equipment
- A minimum of 10 years experience is required for this role

- Enthusiasm for continuous improvement
- Thorough knowledge of catering principles and their application
- Well-developed interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated OH&S experience
- Ability to motivate, develop, and direct your team.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications/Certificates
- Current trade qualification (Cert III in Commercial Cookery) or a hospitality qualification
- Food safety supervisor certification
- First Aid & CPR certificate
Professional Experience
- Catering and cooking experience in a hotel, restaurant, or retirement village
- Menu planning and development
- Team development
- Management of Cost of Sales and Payroll budgets
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role
