We are currently looking for committed, extensively experienced, and highly qualified Disability Support Workers to support L2 and 24/7 SIL house clients with complex physical and/or difficult behavioural needs, including PEG feeding, STOMA care requirements, etc.
Commitment and reliability essential.
Medication assistance training is essential.
Mental Health training and/or nursing training is preferred.

About you:
You must be a reliable, calm, patient, and understanding individual who is able to develop rapport with people with intellectual disabilities. You must also be passionate about successfully meeting your clients' needs every shift, leaving them happy, healthy, feeling equal and that their voice has been heard.
Essential Criteria
- At least Certificate III in Disability Services or equivalent
- Senior First Aid Certificate (current)
- CPR Certificate (if not covered in Senior First Aid Certificate) (current)
- NDIS Worker screening check (current)
- Valid DCSI Working with Children Check (employee must provide)
- Manual Handling Certificate (current)
- Mandatory Reporting / Child Safe Environment Training
- Medication Training (current)
- Valid and Current South Australian or International Driver’s Licence
- Experience in managing people with a disability, who have complex needs and behaviours that require intervention
- Ability to think laterally and manage stress and/or challenging situations to achieve positive outcomes
- Demonstrated superior customer service skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills
Desirable Criteria
- Certificate IV in Disability Services /Certificate III in Aged Care
- Certificate III in Home Care / Community Welfare
- Certificate III in Mental Health
- 3+ years experience in working with people with a disability, including those with complex care needs
- Demonstrated experience in person centred planning and review
- Demonstrated experience in achieving outcomes for people with a disability in accordance with their wishes and person centered plan
- Experience in positive behaviour support strategies and supporting people with complex communication needs
- Competent in the use of Outlook, Word, and Mobile Apps
