We have clients in Grafton and Coffs Harbour areas.
We're directly focused on hiring for our Supported Independent Living homes in Coffs Harbour and complex support needs client in Grafton, NSW. We seek staff with an availability of at least 3 days per week.
Disability Support Worker Position Requirements:
Qualifications & experience
- Current First Aid & CPR (Essential)
- Current WWCC (Essential)
- Current Comprehensive Car Insurance (essential)
- Current Drivers License (Essential)
- Police check (Essential - Obtained within the last 3 months)
- Minimum Certificate III in relevant course (desirable)
- Enrolled in a minimum of a Certificate III relevant course or willing to enrol (essential)
Tasks & responsibilities
- Personal care (essential)
- Manual handling for complex care with the use of hoists/lifters - Training provided.
- Administer medication - Training provided.
- Food preparation including preparation of modified diets/food.
- Supporting clients in the community.
- Implementing behaviour support plans aimed at supporting clients who demonstrate behaviours of concern to achieve their goals.
- Supporting clients to develop and maintain independence.
- Performing various household tasks including menu planning, cooking and serving meals, cleaning, shopping and other activities of daily living.
