We are seeking a qualified Landscape Architect with proven experience working on sizeable landscape projects across landscape design, master-planning and detail documentation (preferably in Melbourne).
Our portfolio covers a wide range of projects including schools, greenfield development, parks, gardens, residential design and bespoke projects.
Design development and liaising with clients is key to this role as is being able to work effectively within a team environment is essential.
Projects include broad acre developments, parks and gardens and public open spaces.
Flow Design Studio is part of the Fleming's Group of Companies with 5 production nurseries, a tissue culture lab and Fleming's Landscapes comprising Landscape Architecture/design, construction, project management and maintenance.
Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years post graduate experience;
- Vast amount of local experience;
- Understanding of Australian Landscape codes;
- High level experience and proficiency using AutoCAD and delivering (or working with teams to deliver) construction documentation;
- Eye for detail;
- May have some experience with SketchUp;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrate strong initiative and passion for design;
- Have proven track record with strong portfolio of previous work;
- Experience in greenfield landscape master plan development;
- Ability to prepare construction documentation for a broad range of projects with the majority set in the greenfield environment;
- Enjoy working closely with the internal landscape team including the director, project managers, operational managers, garden designers, and other Landscape Architects.
- Be an excellent listener with ability to translate to outcomes;
- Be able to communicate with Council, other Consultants and Clients;
- Enjoy building relationships (clients, personnel, contractors, etc)
- Flexible
- Experience working with council planning and town planners
- Fast working and productive
- Highly organised
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience working with a high volume of projects, work to tight deadlines, develop time schedules and be able work within the budget requirements of each project.
Extensive problem-solving skills to address day-to-day issues that ensure the successful delivery of the projects is essential as is a love of working in a fast paced environment and exposure to high profile projects.
