About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Landscape Architect/Designer &Design Manager to join our expanding team. This new position is for someone who is both experienced in landscape design and customer service. The position involves undertaking projects from concept design to construction plans, ensuring all logical outcomes are achieved while keeping beautiful & functional designs in mind. You will prepare landscape documentation packages for tender and construction, ensuring landscape design packages meet acceptable standards of visibility, practicality and design. 

This role will involve face-to-face design consultations and briefings with clients. You will work collaboratively with our director, various architects, and our valued clients, across a broad range landscape projects therefore, it is essential to have excellent communication skills and attention to detail. 

• Concept development and preparing plans for consultation and presentations.
• Preparation of presentations and briefs for clients and site visits
• Prepare Landscape Documentation Plans for Tender and Construction using AutoCAD software platform
• Producing construction detailing and landscape plans
• Prepare construction details using AutoCAD
• Briefings with clients, client communication, follow up and client care
• Use and implement your own creative design, taste, expertise and flair to projects
• Working closely with the director, architects and clients
• Working autonomously on all aspects of design for projects, producing and documenting your own work
• Assist the landscape design team with drafting and documentation of a wide range of high end residential landscape designs
• Support the delivery of the landscape projects though high quality drafting support in preparing full Landscape documentation packages for tender/construction.
• 3D rendering skills preferred but not essential

About you:

• 3+ years’ working experience in landscape design / architecture 
• Degree / qualifications in landscape design or architecture, or an aligned design degree
• Sound knowledge of construction methods, construction detailing and detailed design and knowledge of Australian Building Codes
• Excellent working knowledge of horticulture and its use in landscape design
• Previous local experience with complex projects within high-end residential landscape design / architecture
• Proficient use of AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and Sketch Up
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill
• A genuine passion and enjoyment for landscape design
• You are confident and knowledgeable for all consultations and briefings
• Ability to work collaboratively with our director and others
• Work closely and professionally with clients, architects and others to ensure client brief bought to life
• Ensure all landscape design packages meet acceptable standards of viability, practicality and design
• You have previous sales or design experience, in a similar or associated industry
• Excellent client management skills with the ability to negotiate desired outcomes.
• Demonstrated skills in strategic thinking, analysis and collaboration in integrated design projects.
• A vibrant personality, positive attitude and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• self-motivated and passionate about delivering work of a high calibre.
