Form of workWe are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Casual Medical Receptionist to join our growing team. Ideally, the right team member is a fast learner and is enthusiastic in offering a exceptional patient service and care.
Remuneration is based on experience and level of duty required.
The successful candidate must be available to work over a 7 day roster, (weekends and evenings included) and flexible to cover personal and holiday leave on short notice.
Key Responsibilities :
- Answering incoming calls, meet and greet patients.
- Processing accounts
- Scanning, faxing and emailing.
- Managing confidential practice correspondence either electronically or paper based.
- Managing the Doctors and Nurses appointments
As the right candidate you will have;
- Highly proficient skills in typing and data entry
- Excellent prioritising and time management skills

- Ability to multi-task and prioritise under pressure.

Essential Criteria:
- Must have a minimum of 1-2 years previous medical reception experience with medical software knowledge, preferably Best Practice
- Exceptional understanding of Medicare billing, mixed billing and compliance
- Current CPR Certificate
- Current National Police Clearance/Working with Children Check
- Customer Service skills within an office based environment
- Ability to prioritise and organise effectively in a busy environment
- Excellent communication and attention to detail skills
- Work as a team and also autonomously
- Be Enthusiastic and have a positive attitude
