Medical Receptionist – Specialist Rooms, Adelaide SA
We require an experienced Medical Receptionist for a high-profile modern general surgical practice located in Angas Street. Undercover onsite parking is available.
This is a casual position for 2 - 3 days per week. Permanency may be offered later depending on mutual agreement, skill level and development. The position is available to commence immediately. Hourly rate will be between $31.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on level of experience
The requirements of the role include-
- Front of house reception
- Meet and greet patients on arrival
- Answer telephone and handle general enquiries including email correspondence
- Co-ordinate patient appointments
- Organising procedures
- Prepare and receipt patient accounts (Medicare/DVA/private billing)
- Scanning
- Preparing day sheets and theatre lists
- Bluechip and Medical Director software, or equivalent (ie Genie etc)
- General administration tasks
- You will not be required to perform audio typing
Essential Criteria
- Excellent communication skills
- Friendly and compassionate disposition
- Strong work ethic and professional approach to patient care
- Maintaining confidentiality of patient records
- Good keyboard skills with accurate data entry
- Ability to work alone without supervision
- Flexibility to work outside of proposed hours to accommodate extra consulting should it be required
- Flexibility to cover sick leave and annual leave should it be required
- Working from home is not an option
