Due to recent success with major Energy, Resources and Telecommunications client CE Group will be rolling out N2P NBN throughout Mackay and its regional areas. The work will oversee the installation of upgraded and extended fibre deeper into communities in the region.
About you:
As a NBN Civil Cable Hauler you will predominately execute and manage a team of machine operators, Cable Haulers and labourers. This is a rare opportunity for someone who has experience in civil NBN installation and ready to take the step into a supervisory role. You will have the opportunity to build and establish a team, fresh beginning and endless opportunity for growth and development.
Duties of the role:
- Ensure all relevant workers and contracts are undertaking works in accordance with permits, risk assessments and site requirements
- Undeground services identification and over see pit and pipe and pipe installation
- Have a detailed understanding of the project program and work activities and update progress report to the Construction Manager
- Plan construction activities in an efficient and logical sequence
- Underground services location
- Installation of pit&pipe
- Trenching and Grundomat operations
- Site setups and traffic management
- DBYD planning
- Removal of ACM
- Experience within the Civil Construction industry, including excavation, pit & pipe, conduit works
- Demonstrated effective people management skills and techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, monitor and report on capital projects across multiple sites
- Able to read & interpret plans
- Current C Class drivers licence and or HR/MR licence
- Consent and pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol test

- Possess attention to detail, ability to prioritise and manage own time
- Be self-motivated and willing to learn

We offer competitive remuneration package for the right candidates, commensurate with skills and experience. A base salary, superannuation and living away from home allowance is payable. CE Group also provides 2 paid mental health days per year to all employees.
