About the role
This is a full-time permanent opportunity located in Brisbane CBD.
A Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining Stanwell’s Windows and Linux Server and VMWare platforms both in the Data Centres and in the Cloud. This involves the delivery, support, administration and maintenance of Server Operating System technologies within the Stanwell ICT environment.
Key activities include:
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical leads to design and architect the Windows and Linux Server and VMWare platforms, leveraging automation and scalability to deliver self-serve and self-managed solutions.
- Be familiar with DEVOPS and working with Infrastructure as code within Azure.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive migration strategy to seamlessly move our existing Windows and Linux Server and VMWare platforms from on-premises to the cloud environment.
- Lead and guide the technical aspects of Windows and Linux Server and VMWare dependant projects, providing expertise, best practices, and driving decisions to ensure successful implementation.
- Train and mentor junior Systems Engineers and others to grow skills within the ICT team and increase the overall capacity of the organisation’s Windows and Linux Server and VMWare capability.
About you
- Extensive experience in Windows Server and Linux Server Engineering at a Senior level.
- Successful track record of developing, implementing, and managing Windows Server and Linux Server environments.
- Experience working with and enhancing IT Service Management processes.
- Proficient at PowerShell scripting.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT.
