About You 😎

You are a qualified Speech Pathologist looking for a new and exciting opportunity to expand your clinical knowledge in working children and young people with speech and language difficulties, including autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays and disability. 

You are passionate and flexible in providing innovative, evidence based and client centred services to children and young people in a clinic setting.

You have strong interpersonal skills that allow you to develop collaborative relationships with clients, families and colleagues to empower children and young people to develop self-confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning. 

You are flexible in your approach to working with a variety of clients and their families, operating in an individualised way with each person. You enjoy working holistically with families and collaborate with other like-minded professionals to promote the best outcome for client.

About the Opportunity 🔥

We offer a unique opportunity for an innovative and motivated Speech Pathologist to join our compassionate and experienced team in a permanent full-time or part-time capacity. 

We are a family friendly business and offer our team a range of flexible work options such as working from home and flexible hours to suit your needs. 

The role will involve a mix of working mainly in our Greenacres and Mawson Lakes clinic (face to face and telehealth) with some offsite (school, preschool and home visits) appointments. 

A typical caseload would likely include children and young people from 0-18 years with autism, developmental delays, language delays, speech difficulties, literacy challenges and stuttering. You will have the opportunity to work and collaborate with like-minded allied health, education and medical professionals to provide a holistic service for families.

We have a strong emphasis on empowering our team to reach their full potential professionally and personally. We will support you to develop a specialist clinical caseload or senior roles in your area of clinical expertise.

More about the role 📣

This role provides an opportunity for clinical specialisation and an individualised approach to negotiating the right balance of clinical and supervision/leadership tasks to suit the successful applicant. 

  • Providing high quality, clinic and community-based speech pathology services to children and families
  • Guiding service development and quality improvement within the clinic
  • Developing projects that improve clinical practice or service delivery
  • Program/plan therapy and groups for Allied Health Assistants to implement and/or develop into a Clinical Educator for student placements.

Depending on your experience or desire to grow:

  • Providing clinical leadership and supervision to early career therapists including discipline specific meetings and individual supervision
  • Directly supporting professional development across the team
  • Providing high quality, clinic and community based speech pathology services to children and families
  • Guiding service development and quality improvement within the clinic
  • Developing projects that improve clinical practice or service delivery
  • Assisting in service planning, providing clinical leadership, professional support and ensuring best practice standards for speech pathology services

  • Contribute and upskill in other areas of Chat Well's growth including development of new services and groups, event management, social media and WHS etc.
  • A relocation budget is available for the right candidate.
