- Salary: AHP1 $67,466 to $82,359 p.a.
- Permanent Full-time position
- Conduct assessments and diagnosis of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans tailored to clients' needs.
- Provide therapy services to individuals, groups, or families.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and service providers to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
- Monitor and evaluate clients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Educate clients, families, and caregivers on speech and language disorders, therapy techniques, and strategies for managing communication difficulties.
- Stay informed about developments in the field of speech pathology and participate in professional development activities.
- Must hold a recognised qualification within Speech Pathology profession, and be eligible for full membership of the Speech Pathology Association (SPA). For self-regulated professions it is desirable to participate in the professional associations' accredited continuous professional development program.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, client-centered care.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech pathology.
- Proficiency in relevant assessment and therapy techniques.
- DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check
- National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)
