Role & Responsibilities
An exciting opportunity has become available to join the team at Delta Coal for an Experienced UndergroundElectrical Leading Hand. As a member of the Engineering group, the purpose of this role is to:
- Supervise the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of electrical plant and installations at the mine.
- Accountability for the performance and compliance of plant and the safe work practices of Electrical Technicians on shift.
- Provisions of direction, coordination, and supervision to Electrical Technicians in order to achieve daily plan objectives while ensuring compliance with legislative requirements impacting upon the operation.
- Promote the Delta Coal Vision, commitment and guiding behaviours and assist the management team to promote a positive culture.
- Provide leadership to the mine as part of the Frontline Leadership Time.
Delta Coal is seeking candidates that were willing to work to maintain the quality standards we have set across all areas of our business and that continue to seek improvements in the way in which we operate.
Qualifications & Experience
To be the successful candidate you are required to meet the following criteria:
- Qualified supervisors’ certificate – Electrical
- EEHA Accreditation
- High Voltage Accreditation
- Diploma Engineering (desirable)
- Cert IV Trainer/Assessor (desirable)
- G2 Risk Management (desirable)
- Cert IV Frontline Management (desirable)
- Incident investigation (desirable)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in underground coal mining with development equipment.
- Experience in the use of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS), such as Pulse
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office suite and data entry
- Preparation and communication of reports
