If you are a Systems Engineer, Senior Systems Engineer or Principal Systems Engineer interested in delivering fit-for-purpose Systems Engineering services to help navigate clients’ most complex problems, then we would love to hear from you. We are seeking Expressions of Interest across a range of industry sectors but preference is given to Defence.
As a member of the Shoal team, you will have the opportunity to apply systems engineering from Stakeholder Needs through to Verification and Validation to a variety of projects in a multitude of industry sectors.
Preferably Shoal Systems Engineers are based in Adelaide or Canberra, and we offer hybrid working arrangements as our standard. Flexibility is at the core of how we work at Shoal and remote and/or part time working would be considered for the right people.
About you
The ideal candidate will have:
- Systems Engineering know-how, supplemented by experience, to undertake project technical work across:
- multiple technical competency areas for systems engineering as set out by ISO 15288; and
- experience across multiple phases of a systems engineering lifecycle.
- Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team and liaising with other engineering specialists and paraprofessionals.
- Experience with MBSE tools e.g. Cameo/Catia, Capella/Arcadia, GENESYS.
- Proficiency with requirements management tools e.g. DOORS.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent qualification that would be accepted in Australia under the Washington Accord.
- Be eligible for, or be on a development pathway to achieve Professional Engineer accreditation with Engineers Australia (EA), i.e. Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent.
- Hold any professional engineering services registrations as required by State and Territory legislation.
Special requirements:
Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance at NV1 level.
International export control regulations are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
