Due to the growing demand for health and safety with our various clients, we are on the lookout for skilled HSE professionals for contract and ongoing positions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business leaders for coaching, education, and WHS compliance.
- Ensure continuous WHS improvement and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain high WHS training and compliance for all employees.
- Conduct routine WHS site inspections proactively.
- Act as the primary contact for all WHS matters including emergencies.
- Coordinate WHS systems such as Riskman and Chemwatch.
- Chair OHS Committee and coordinate Reps, including training.
- Ensure compliance with Work Safe regulations.
- Investigate WHS incidents, analyze, and implement prevention programs.
- Conduct regular audits of WHS practices in compliance with WorkSafe.
- Run monthly prevention and education campaigns.
- Promote engagement with WHS culture throughout the organization.
- Report WHS incidents and prevention efforts to ELT and the Board.
- Coordinate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) supplies.
- Update WHS policies, procedures, and forms in compliance with legislation.
- Maintain updated WHS information accessible to employees.
- Drive wellbeing initiatives and culture across the organization.
- Maintain a visible presence in the office and workplaces to foster WHS culture.
- Partner closely with business leaders for a holistic approach.
Qualifications and skills:
- Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field (minimum cert IV).
- Proven experience in HSE roles, preferably in a diverse range of industries.
- Strong understanding of HSE regulations and compliance requirements. (federal, state, and ISO)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
