Bridging the Gap, a leading child and youth mental health service, has been supporting communities in Sydney’s west for 40 years.
We are seeking an experienced Expressive Art Therapist to provide art therapy and counselling to children 8-18 years old, and their families. Our services are well regarded and in high demand.
Our counselling services are located in St Marys where we currently take bookings for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9am and 7pm. The work hours of this role are negotiable.
We aim is to help children and young people overcome the effects of anxiety, depression, family violence and relationship breakdown. You will be someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people to rebuild confidence and resilience.
About you:
- Masters degree in Art Therapy.
- Completed at least 750 hours of supervised clinical placement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional membership with ANZACATA.
- Experience working collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Capable with technology - Client Management Systems, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Can demonstrate a value for Christian faith community.
The successful candidate will be required to hold current:
- Working with Children Check (WWCC) for employees.
- National Criminal History (Police) Record Check.
- NDIS Worker clearance.
