About the company

This is a leading Financial Services organisation who are seeking an experienced External Affairs Manager with strong PR campaign and media experience and a passion for driving measurable outcomes.

Day to day activities

Reporting to the Executive Manager Corporate Affairs and plays a pivotal role in executing communication plans and driving proactive media engagement activity as well as supporting marketing campaigns and initiatives.

• You will create and deliver communication strategies across a portfolio of areas of the businesses and may also contribute to the delivery of strategies and plans to support Group-wide campaigns and initiatives.
• You will work closely with members of the leadership teams to oversee and manage external communications activity, and create and drive compelling narratives, campaigns and media opportunities.
• You will also provide leadership and direction in responding to issues that could affect the companies reputation.
• You will have a strong writing skills and experience in developing communication strategies, managing multiple stakeholders, and competing deadlines.

Idea candidate

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a listed company, issues-rich and highly regulated environment, managing business communication strategy and implementation.
• A track record in developing, implementing, and measuring integrated and coordinated communication strategies, including channel innovation and social media programs.
• Demonstrated ability running PR campaigns and working closely with marketing teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and an ability to work with multiple teams and functions to deliver strong outcomes.
• Are an experienced media relations professional.
• Strong issue management experience.
