ROLE OUTLINE:
As an audit senior, you will lead audit teams, mentor junior staff and benefit from an industry leading training program.
TYPICAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Partner, you will have responsibilities that vary depending on the size and type of client. Typical job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Managing external audit and assurance engagements;
Assisting with all phases of the engagement - from planning and field work to completion;
Research of difficult technical issues and application of issues to clients' circumstances;
Ensuring compliance with all statutory and relevant regulatory requirements;
Telephone and face-to-face contact with clients;
Review of staff workpapers;
Supervision and coaching of junior team members;
Liaison with relevant divisions regarding work of experts;
Ensuring jobs are completed effectively and deadlines are met;
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
The ideal candidate should be:
Team player able to work at pace and under pressure;
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
Willing to work long hours/ travel to client site when necessary;
Over 3 years' experience in Audit & Assurance;
CA/ CPA qualified or currently undertaking qualification;
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
Sound knowledge of IFRS, Australian Auditing Standards, ASX Listing Rules and Corporation Act requirements;
Excellent client relationship skills;
Ability to demonstrate a leadership/ coaching style;
Proficient level experience with Caseware and Caseware financials
Preferable business services experience with Xero, Myob, Quickbooks and Sage;
