6-to-7-month maternity leave contract opportunity as the Commercial Specialist - External Works, reporting to our External Works Manager.
Position Overview:
As the Commercial Specialist - External Works, You will be empowered with the following:
- customer commercial liaison and initiation of customer initiated routine and nonroutine relocation projects on the gas and water assets (including some mixed market expansion/External Works projects)
- effective negotiation and establishment of relevant agreements to ensure the terms of access to, or other impacts on Jemena's network infrastructure and assets by third-parties are commercially acceptable
- commercial performance of the External Works program
- development of strong strategic relationships with significant clients and external infrastructure stakeholders to deliver operational efficiency and forward planning outcomes for Jemena
A little about you:
- Demonstrated commercial experience along with an ability to demonstrate an understanding of construction and commercial risks of gas network relocation projects.
- Excellent client relationships skills to deliver effective outcomes
- You've gained previous experience in estimation, commercial management and project management skills.
- You have the ability to manage customer expectations and internal delivery performance to set and achieve project deadlines and budgets
- Understanding of the gas and construction regulatory regimes across Australia
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, build and maintain effective relationships with key clients and Government and industry groups
- An appreciation of effective risk management, including effective technical, safety & commercial management
- Demonstrated knowledge of contract management, procurement and delivery strategies in context of third party infrastructure development (ie: understanding and appreciation External Works customer's industries)
