As a Facade Engineer, you will work collaboratively in delivery of facade design and coordination. You will design, analyse, and oversee the installation of building facades, ensuring aesthetic appeal, functionality, and energy efficiency. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver high-quality facade solutions that meet client needs and comply building codes, and regulations. You will also participate in research, data analysis, and report writing to support accurate and informative reporting. You will have relevant tertiary qualifications, experience, and skills in Facade Engineering and related software including drafting standards. You will also be or be working towards becoming chartered by Engineers Australia.
The Opportunity
- Assist in specifying facade materials and oversight of their installation. Participate in collaborating with architects to ensure facade design integrates with the overall building design.
- Contribute to the evaluation of innovative facade technologies and systems. Perform basic on-site inspections to ensure quality and initial compliance with design specifications. Stay informed about Facade Engineering trends and basic building codes.
- Collaborate with the team to assist in preparing technical drawings and documentation for engineering and construction projects, gaining foundational knowledge in technical drafting.
- Support engineers and architects in translating design concepts into drawings, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with drafting standards.
- Collaborate with the team to assist in designing building facades for aesthetic appeal, functionality, and energy efficiency, gaining foundational knowledge in Facade Engineering.

Is this role right for you?
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications such as a dual degree in Architecture & Engineering, or a degree in Civil Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or similar area.
- Relevant experience in Facades and Building Construction within a consulting business environment.
- Proficiency in 2D drafting e.g. AutoCAD and intermediate level of 3D modelling e.g. Rhino
- Relevant experience in project delivery across multiple stages (Concept, design development, tender package production, contractor documentation review, engineering review), and in sectors such as commercial, healthcare, arts & culture, retail, residential, etc.
