Job DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated and agile team player who is excited to develop new capabilities and continue to grow within the world of Facades!In joining our team, you will have the opportunity to bring your experience as a
Facade Engineer to our Sydney office and work alongside our accomplished
Facade Engineering team, providing consulting services for new and existing facades, both commercial and residential.
The role will include:- Carrying out design engineering for facade and buildability consultancy, including material knowledge and installation techniques.
- Performing detailed engineering computations and structural facade analysis.
- Providing facade design advice and reporting to clients on building projects.
- Being accountable for all facade documentation including calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Reviewing contractor submissions, shop drawings, and calculations.
- Handling project management and administration.
- Assisting in preparing tender submissions.
- Attending inspections during construction, installation, and fabrication as required.
- Communicating with the design team as well as working autonomously.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients on projects and developing contacts within the facade industry.
- Liaising with peers and other disciplines within the Group as required.
QualificationsSkills and Experience- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil/Structures)
- Proven experience in facade design engineering within a facade consultancy or facade contractor - local experience ideal
- Must be experienced in facade system design and the review of drawing submissions
- Ideally 2+ years' experience with a facade contractor or consultancy
- Familiar with relevant local codes and standards related to facades
- Proficiency in relevant facade & structural finite element software e.g. Strand7, Mepla
- Experience in producing and reviewing calculations for various facade elements and writing documentation at the different stages of a project
- Excellent problem solving and organisational skills
- Are proactive, demonstrate initiative, focus and a strong commitment to your profession
- Able to work independently with some supervision where required
- High proficiency in MS Office
