Maurice Blackburn, experience you can count on.About the roleAs a Facilities Coordinator, you'll work across a diverse range of areas including oversight of building security nationally, actioning day to day facilities helpdesk enquiries and collaborating with vendors to ensure efficient service delivery. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.This role reports into the Facilities & Services Manager, in our Risk, Compliance and Enterprise Services teams.This role would be responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to:
- Monitor and arrange external providers nationally for continued servicing in the areas of cleaning, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, lifts and essential services
- Manage building security nationally, including swipe card maintenance, door control servicing, liaising with building management, and 24/7 emergency availability
- Coordinate premise activities nationally including furniture, bin activities, car parking allocations and installations
- Attend weekly meetings and generate monthly reports of facilities activities
- Ensure as far as practicable that compliance with OHS legislation is adhered to in all MB offices
- Assist with ergonomic assessments nationally as directed and organise equipment as required
- Ensure OHS Committee, including First Aid Officers, Fire Wardens and OHS representatives receive appropriate training and qualification, and a adequately supported
- Previous work in a professional services environment, ideally within facilities management
- Proficiency in overseeing building maintenance, repairs, and safety protocols
- Ability to effectively manage contractors and vendors
- Experience in developing and enhancing processes and procedures related to facilities management
- Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service to employees and visitors
- Proficiency in creating reports using Microsoft Word and Excel
