Linear Clinical Research Ltd is an internationally recognised, not-for-profit. Founded by the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research (Perkins), Linear has Western Australia’s only dedicated early phase clinical trials facilities located in Nedlands and Joondalup where we focus on early phase clinical trials across a broad range of therapeutic areas.
Here at Linear that includes a broad oncology portfolio that continues to expand as we open the Advanced Clinical Trials Centre (ACTC) in early 2024, the first of its kind facility in Australia dedicated to bringing novel therapies through clinical trials to the cancer patients of Western Australia. The ACTC is situated on the QEII Medical precinct, directly next to the WA State Cancer Centre.
Your role in our future
The Facilities Management & Assets team is currently seeking an experienced Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Facilities Management & Assets Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance and repair of our facilities and responsible for coordinating and managing the development, implementation and monitoring of asset maintenance.
You will play a vital role in ensuring that the facilities are well-maintained, safe, and functional, providing a positive experience for patients and participants.
Key responsibilities include:
Attend to minor building maintenance such as minor painting and plaster repairs, basic plumbing repairs and general labouring duties. / Respond to faults, failures and damage reported by staff and complete repairs or advise a scope of works to be passed on to external contractors.
Coordinate and undertake maintenance analysis, including responding to requests, determining responsibility for works, estimating costs and specifying the work required.
Work closely with the Facilities Management & Assets Manager to ensure that asset records are up to date and maintenance efforts are aligned to strategic priorities.
Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, including scheduling, inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities and after-hours response to ensure the timely completion of tasks and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
A pre-employment medical will be required due to the manual handling nature of some of this role tasks.
Your experience
To be successful in this role you will have:
Recognised trades certificate and/or considerable relevant trades/technical experience eg: plumbing, carpentry, or electrical.
Proficient with use of computers and a range of systems.
Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with a range of stakeholders (both external and internal) to achieve optimal outcomes.
Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, communications, consultation and negotiations skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of multi-disciplinary team with well-developed time management and work planning skills.
Knowledge and experience in the practical application of property and facility maintenance practices.
Have your own vehicle that you are willing to use for work purposes with a current unrestricted Driver's license.
This role will be based in Nedlands and at our Joondalup site.
