The City of Kalamunda is a local authority with a population of 60,000 located approximately a 35-minute drive from the Perth CBD. The City provides the opportunity to work in a diverse environment from rural, natural bushland to highly developed residential, commercial and industrial areas.
About this Opportunity
This position leads the effective and efficient coordination and management of building maintenance of the City’s assets. Assist the Manager Asset Maintenance to deliver strategic outcomes and organisational goals in the management of these services.
Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Building or Facility Management or a recognised equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role or a similar environment.
- Proven skills in contract management, budget, time and resources management, grant application and acquittal and project delivery.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, negotiation, conflict resolution and the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders to enable effective working relationships and collaboration.
- Demonstrated high level organisational and administration skills with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters appropriately. Supported with writing skills to undertake research and write technical and strategic documents and submissions, including policies and procedures.
- Ability to use personal computer applications, and particularly the Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Construction Industry Induction ticket (White Card).
Hours of Work
This is a permanent full-time position working 75 hours per fortnight, with a rostered day off. This position will require attendance of activities and events outside of normal office hours and requires to be on the After-hours Roster.
About the Benefits
This position offers a salary of Level 9 being $107,943 - $114,896 p.a. depending on skills and experience, plus superannuation. Commuter use of a City vehicle, mobile phone and laptop will be provided. An on-call allowance and overtime rates will be paid on after-hour call-outs. Other benefits include annual increments, EBA salary increases, a generous superannuation co-contribution scheme, 22 days annual leave with 17.5% loading and rostered days off.
