Facilities Maintenance Manager

Downer Rail & Transit Systems (RTS), a leading provider of asset management services across Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Manager to join the team based at our Cardiff - NSW site.As the Facilities Maintenance Manager you will lead the site’s FM team to develop and implement maintenance and capital works plans in accordance with local, state and federal law with specific alignment to NSW Safety Regulations. Being responsible for the asset management and maintenance of the site infrastructure, facilities, plant and equipment, you will deliver reliability focused engineering, principal contractor obligations and control facility change. You will ensure compliance of all relevant depot fixed and mobile equipment is maintained, including inspected / calibrated and certifications are maintained.

About You

• Minimum of 5 yrs. experience in Facilities and Asset Management in a management level role, including the delivery of operational and capital expenditure projects.
• Previously led a team of technicians and third-party service providers in delivering effective FM services.
• Have a Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil, with a sound knowledge of Engineering Practice.
• Experience in complex operating environments, with varying ages of infrastructure and equipment types, in heavy industry environments such as rail facilities and infrastructure, shipping docks, heavy manufacturing or mining.
• Ability to manage concurrent activities, projects and priorities.
• Understanding of building regulations and standards including Australian Standards relevant to Asset and Facilities Management.
• Able to interpret and produce detailed analytical technical reports.
• Operate with a high level of professional integrity.
• Advanced problem-solving ability with attention to detail, and an ability remain calm under pressure and/or diverse situations or environments.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement, across all levels internally and externally.
