Our client is an Equity Investor, who specialises in projects spanning education, health, transport, justice and social housing. They have collaborated with the State Government of South Australia in a Public Private Partnership to build and maintain two birth to year 12 public schools in Adelaide.
They are seeing a highly experienced Facilities Manager with a strong understanding of PPP's and contract administration to join their team as a Representative for their South Australian projects.
The Role:
This role requires someone with a strong understanding of Contract Administration as responsibilities will include meeting and reporting to SA state government.
- Oversight of contractors' responsibilities regarding project documentation management and coordination
- Facilitating reporting, updates, modifications, and document amendments.
- Being the first point of contact and managing relationships with the state and operational subcontractors
- Supervising the duties of the Design and Construction (D&C) subcontractor, particularly in defect rectification.
- Demonstrating proficient knowledge of the construction process and lifecycle maintenance needs.
- Supervising operational subcontractors, including ongoing maintenance and lifecycle activities pertinent to the project.
- Conducting periodic reporting and maintaining health and safety procedures and records.
- Ensuring subcontractor compliance with South Australian Working With Children Checks (WWCC) and arranging audits.
- Conducting weekly site audits to verify compliance with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and subsequent actions.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 8 -10 years experience in Facilities Management
- Trade Qualification or relevant tertiary studies in facilities management or project management
- Experience in project delivery and contract administration
- Exceptional written and reporting skills
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
- Proven leadership skills
